Before you can broadcast live, schedule a live event within your station calendar. Please see this guide for more information.
Winamp for broadcasting is only available for the Windows operating system - Download it here. You will also need the latest DSP plugin, available here.
When both are installed, open Winamp. It should look similar to this:
Setup DSP
On the Source DSP window select the Output tab then pick an output from the list.
Under the Login tab, enter your server details (available from your Live DJ bar):
Host: eg. colour.radio.co
Port: eg. 1000
UserID: This MUST be left blank, or else the connection will fail
Password: This is the unique ID found in the DJ bar
Connect Using: This should be changed from Automatic mode to V1.X mode (Legacy Servers)
Click the Directory tab. You will need to enter your station details here such as name and website URL to allow the DSP to connect.
Next, click the Encoder tab. Change the Encoder Type to your desired format (usually MP3). In Encoder Settings select your bitrate (this should match the output bitrate of your Radio.co station which is 128kbps by default).
Connecting
Once you are ready to go and your Live event has started, click 'Connect'. The software will connect to Radio.co and you will be able to see the status in the Live DJ bar at the top of the Radio.co Dashboard.
NOTE: You can only go live when the live event starts. If you try to connect to the system before the start time, your broadcast software will show an error.
