Video Streaming is currently in a limited open Beta. If you'd like access to this feature, you must be on a Premium plan.
To set up Video Streaming you'll need to have a Mixcloud account with a Subscription to Mixcloud Pro or Premium. This guide walks you through how to link your Mixcloud account to Radio.co and how to control your video stream.
If you don't have a Mixcloud account yet that's no problem, you can sign up for Mixcloud at mixcloud.com and to see which one of their subscriptions works best for you, you can check out Mixclouds guide on that HERE.
We do have a discount code available on Mixcloud Pro subscriptions that gets you 10% a Pro subscription either for the monthly or yearly billing cycles, lasting for one year. You can get that by using RADIOCOMIXCLOUD when checking out on Mixcloud.
Linking your Mixcloud account with Radio.co
Once you have your account or are signed in to your Mixcloud account, open your Radio.co dashboard and head to Settings > Integrations.
Here you will see the Connect Mixcloud Account button. Clicking this will launch a new tab. If you're logged out, you will be invited to log in to Mixcloud. If you're already logged in you will see a page similar to the one below.
Click 'Authorize'.
Once connected you will be redirected back to your Radio.co Dashboard.
Stream live to Mixcloud
Click on
Video Streaming (Beta)
in the sidebar. The view above will load.On the right, you can upload a thumbnail image which will be displayed alongside your station audio and now playing information.
We recommend using a Full HD image (1920x1080px)
If you change the image while streaming to Mixcloud you'll need to stop and restart the stream to Mixcloud for the image changes to take effect.
Once you've added your image or are happy with the image that's already there, click
Start Video Stream
at the top (your Radio.co station must be On AIr to do this). Now your video stream should be live on Mixcloud. Confirm by going to your Mixcloud profile and there should be a box on the left with the background image you're using under your profile information, if you're live it should indicate so in the top right of the box. Or go directly to the broadcast by adding your Mixcloud username to the last part of this URL https://www.mixcloud.com/live/(Mixcould user name)/
To stop your broadcast, click
Stop Streaming
at the top of the page.
Note: Listeners tuning in via Mixcloud will not be counted in your Radio.co statistics as Mixcloud is rebroadcasting your stream to their platform.
