Please note: The below information is only related to Google Developer accounts registered as personal entities. Organisational accounts are not affected.

When creating your Android app, if you have a personal Google Developer Account, you are required to have 20 testers to test your app for at least 14 days in a row.

This is because Google needs to fulfil a testing requirement first before the production tab is accessible. See below:

The production tab is where we submit your Android app for review. Any personal Developer Accounts submitting new apps are required to have 20 Android testers to test the app for 14 days before the app can be made available to the public. This can be bypassed if you have an organisational Google Developer Account.

Once the app has been built by our team, you can add the email addresses of the testers to the following section from your Google Developer Console:

View App > Test & Release > Testing > Closed Testing > Manage Track > Testers (tab). Alternatively, if you're still unsure you can get in contact with the support team at Radio.co and we can get the tester emails added for you.

You can find information on the requirements for your testers here.

Please note, your testers must be Android users, and their email address must be linked to a Google Account.

Once the testers have completed the testing process, you should see updates on your Google Developer dashboard. Google will also notify us once the testing stage is done and if you may apply for production access.
