Using DJ.Studio

Once your tracks are added, you'll land in the Studio View. This is the heart of DJ.Studio, where you will be manually editing and perfecting your mix.

DJ.Studio automatically analyses key information like BPM, key, and cue points to make mixing much easier. For a quick start, you can also use the Harmonize feature to instantly arrange your tracks for smooth, harmonic transitions.

Each track appears as a waveform on its own channel. This gives you dedicated controls to solo, mute, adjust volume, and fine-tune the EQ for every song in your project.

Once your tracks are in, you might want to trim them or chop out bits you don’t need. In the Studio View, just click and drag across any waveform to select a part of the track.

With a section selected, you can right-click to loop it, cut, copy, delete portions, or even send it to the sample lane for reuse. If you want to shorten an entire track, you can either delete unwanted parts or simply adjust the “mix in/out” points right in the transition window.

Once your tracks are arranged, you can focus on the mix between them. Select the overlap area (the transition) to adjust where each mix starts and ends.

This opens the Transition tab at the bottom of your screen. Here, you can pick quick presets like Crossfade or Bass Swap. Or, for more creative effects, you can manually draw the automation lines for your volume, filters, EQs, and more.

Across the bottom, you'll find other useful tabs. The Effects tab, for instance, lets you apply and automate effects over the entire length of a track, not just during the transition.

There is also a Samples tab. This is where you can access your DJ drops, sound effects, or percussion loops. You can drag any sample from this library up onto one of the dedicated Sample Lanes in the main timeline to add another creative layer to your mix.

Exporting Mixes

Once you're happy with your mix, you are ready to export it.

Click Export in the top right corner.

Select the file type you wish to export under (Radio.co does not support WAV or FLAC files, so use MP3 if you are wanting to upload the mix to Radio.co), then select 'Export'.

The file will be exported and saved on your local PC. You can then upload this to Radio.co by heading to the Dashboard, and drag/drop the file here. Alternatively, click 'Upload Media' in the top right corner, and then 'Select Files' to browse your local PC.

We hope you enjoy using DJ.Studio, but if you have any other questions do let us know at help@radio.co.
